About time for this I think!

It seems we've been top for most of the season with the assumption that Billericay's hundred games in hand would eventually see them pull away to win. With their poor form and upcoming every-other-day schedule though that's not looking so certain. Their five games in hand don't look like a ten point lead in the making any more.

So, is it on? It looks possible now...

It's definitely on! A lot being made of Billericay's backlog due to their cup runs, but they've lost a stack of games due to their swampy pitch so I have little sympathy.

Plus their player turnover rate means that most of their players haven't actually played that many games.

It's remarkable that we have emerged five points clear given we dropped 15 in our bad new year run. Dipo has given us the boost we needed and now we have Tomlin coming back too, he'll be like a fresh signing.

It looks possible. Buttttt... I reckon tied league, Dulwich in playoffs on GD. Can't see Billericay's run of (very) poor form continuing (but y'know, fingers crossed!), but assume they'll 'drop' maybe 13 points out of their 42 possible. We need to be undefeated to the end of the season really, which might be a bit of a reach, even though we're playing well. *rubs lucky rabbit with horseshoe*

Last game of the season, I goal needed to clinch it, keeper hoofs it out for the last kick of the ball, Clunis volleys it in from the half way line to nick it before the whistle gets to the refs lips.
I would settle for this, I am not a greedy man. :)

Always the better to have points on the board in my opinion.

There will be good teams in playoffs. I fancy Leatherhead and their rubbish pitch to sneak in to contest.

With their minus 40 points deduction :hmm:

Maximum allowable deduction of 12 points, if Ambroisini played in four games that they won. The Sanctioning Body may 'cherry pick' victories out of those in which an Ineligible Participant plays. Depends how many there were during the relevant period - not much detail in the Statements given thus far.
Plenty of those deductions happened last Season, even more during this it would appear.

    This Season :
Swanage & Herston [Dorset Prem.] -12pts & £50, four wins & due to no International Clearance,
Cleethorpes Town [Northern Prem. D1S] -12pts, four wins gained with Ineligible Participant in 7 games
    http://www.evostikleague.co.uk/...ints-deduction-46114
Hall Road Rangers [NCEFL-PD] -12pts, four wins gained with an Ineligible Participant
    http://thebootifulgame.co.uk/...-deducted-12-points/

Uckfield Town [SoCo-PD] -9pts for three victories with an Ineligible Participant
    http://www.scfl.org.uk/...html?view=newspage02
AFC Bolsover [NCEFL-D1] -6pts for two victories with an Ineligible Participant,
Frickley Athletic [Northern Prem. D1S] -3pts, 1 win with an unapproved loan player during 4 Fixtures.

Lot of it going on up North this year...

Why they have 40 point deduction?

Think Fineage towards the higher end of the scale.
Isthmian doesn't publish its Schedule of Fees & Fines, but I'm thinking circa £500. It doesn't tend to be a lot.

As to the FA Cup Prize Fund monies, well - that's given a fuller treatment on t'Hellthread.

Surely the chap can't have been ineligible from the beginning of the Season?
If so, how on earth has that happened?

If it has [of course, there is also the option of an Appeal] & if the Ineligible Participant has played in four victories, then they're out of the Play-Offs.

BTFC should still win the league. But following their recent poor results teams might view them as beatable as they are going to get tired. They might drop points on 24 Mar Hendon, 31 Mar Leatherhead, 2 Apr Tonbridge, 9th Apr Staines, 11th Apr Old Bill, 21 Apr Margate, 24 Apr Folkstone.

In the playoffs I think teams should be bit concerned about Staines recent form. They have just thrashed Hendon

    Hm.
Plenty of points to pick up there, sadly.

It's still very much in Mr Tamplin's capable hands...

Assuming Billericay's run of poor form continues (hopefully so but never assume anything) the game against Folkestone Invicta is going to big on April 21st as they are on a great run and only 5 points behind having played the same games.

What an incredible turnaround we've seen these last few games.

In all honesty, and at the risk of tempting fate etc, if I were setting market odds on the Isthmian Prem right now, I have to say I'd make Dulwich (slight) favourites to win it. Even if Billericay were to display traditional 2-points-per-game title-winning form for their 5 catch-up games - the kind of form they've been woefully shy of lately - they'd still only be 2 points ahead, with the continued pain of their extreme fixture pile-up (which has already hit them hard) only likely to generate further agony for them over the last few weeks of the regular season.

Plus, the Tamplin factor. It's highly likely there'll be yet more unrest to come at BTFC, given recent results; even less stability.

Double-plus, DH seem to have suddenly hit another very rich vein of form, scoring freely and playing in great style.

Amazingly, it's hard to find a bookie offering prices at the moment. I've been prompting the biggies on twitter the last few days. No reply. I think they'll react and re-open the outright league markets next week following today's games. FYI: Right now, for those interested, 10Bet is one of the rare few with said market still active, offering crazy prices IMHO:

    Billericay 1/20
    DH 15/2
    Folkestone 40/1

It would be a written request Bet, I'd wager.

You'll have to send it off for them in writing and see what comes back.
Having said that, if 10bet will take the money [and if I were a gambling man] I would bite their arm off on that differential!

I got dulwich at 10/1 yesterday on B365.

You need to wait for them to process today’s games I think so odds might be available tomorrow.

Cheers! Hadn't tried B365. Think I may be banned from them. Skybet were having none of it in the week :(

You're right - they won't be live right now anyway as they'll wait for today's results to filter through. Come Monday might offer up some interesting prices.

Last week we were 13th in the form guide. Up to 3rd. With 10 games to go and a March blip avoided...
