Weltweit: My saying it is only safe to travel to Gaza as a soldier [i.e. armed] means alot more than you seem to understand. Even activists for the Arab cause are being kidnapped and killed. Locals are in the grip of a civil war among HAMAS and Fatah and you would think a light skinned Jew would be safe walking around there sans Galil? Not on your life, or anyone else's.

I do not dispute the area is dangerous though I did not know also for Arabs.

It began in 1873, and for the most part in 1920 so that either date leaves almost 100 years ofviolence. Why not add another 100 when things have gotten much worse, as opposed to better?

I think it is indefensible that there is not right now a peace process being aggressively pursued in the best interests of all the humans who are suffering in this conflict.

That there is no effort being made for peace is offensive to Europeans.

The majority of humans on both sides who are suffering, as usual, are civilians, a peace process is for their benefit, it is not for the benefit of one or other of the fighting factions Israel included.

Local people, many no most of whom are practiced diplomats in their own lives have not managed to broker a peace, so it makes sense for outsiders to be mediators but Israel and Palestine must speak negotiate sue for peace and whoever they have elected to lead them must be respected as elected officials.

Nino: I cannot speak for Americans but in Israel we are battling for our existence. We are not brainwashed. Our country has a myriad of political orientations but almost all have one thing in common: they recognise what is going on and refuse to sit idly by as Jewish blood is spilled once again.

I don't know about other Israelis but you appear to be totally indoctrinated into believing that you have some sort of divine right to brutalise others because they aren't Jewish.
