Is your bathroom upstairs or downstairs?

In my house in the 'Stow, where I no longer live, it was downstairs, off the kitchen.

The payback of that is that there's two nice sized bedrooms upstairs (Victorian terrace) and when I come to sell it up, I'll be telling people that the money it saves 'em off the asking price leaves more money for other stuff.

As long as you're healthy and stairs aren't a prob, there's no issue with it being downstairs. I was a bit worried it would be inconvenient for my tenant, with a young kid and baby, but she wasn't bothered.

In our flat we're all on one floor.

All the bathrooms (e.g. rooms that have a bath) are upstairs (apart from the one in the "servants quarters" - not currently in use).

There's also a toilet on each landing so you're never far from an opportunity to dump/slash.

I live in a 1 bed flat.

The bathroom is neither upstairs or downstairs, but is conveniently located within 2 feet of the bedroom. And the living room. And the kitchen. And the front door.

I only have one bathroom, which is upstairs. My ideal house would have an upstairs bathroom and an additional downstairs toilet.

I really don't like houses which have bathrooms downstairs.

Used to have an upstairs bathroom with an extra toilet upstairs. Downstairs bathroom is great for families with children (no dragging mud across the house after football/rugby/playing in puddles).

Ours is neither upstairs or downstairs, it's in the middle. Do I win?
No, you've failed to grasp the nature of reality altogether....

Your bathroom is not in the middle, that's impossible. If one were downstairs, then your bathroom would be described as being upstairs, whereas if one were upstairs, your bathroom would be described as being downstairs.

Upstairs, it has to be. The apartment is on the sixth floor, if it was downstairs I'd have to get the lift every time I wanted to go!

I've got two bathrooms in a flat :D

Now why does that not surprise me? :D

I was told back in 1982 by my then GP it was most unlikely to be able to work for much longer due to failing health. So when we moved to Cornwall we planned for the future and bought a bungalow.
