Right if I get an aluminium framed bike with carbon steel forks is that going to be much different from the aluminium bikes and the steel framed bikes ?

Just to clarify, very few decent road bikes will come with aluminium forks, but I'd strongly advise you to avoid those that do. It seems to be the cheapest, but the entry level Trek/Specialized etc will be carbon.

I will go take some now, just finished my first ride on it, last time i did that route my average was a poxy 13.6mph, this time it was a slightly sickly 15.2 mph and that was without knowing how to use the thing properly. Equalled my top speed record of 42mph and this time it was measured by GPS!
