Is there anything you refuse to eat?

Tripe, oysters and basically any shellfish, offal(unless mushed up in haggis), avocado, banana(smell makes me heave), any kind of roe, I'm going to stop now coz the full list could take a while.

Surprised so many people refuse celery - it doesn't really taste of anything much to me - thought people just added it to salads to give them a bit of crunch.

To me it's got a really unpleasant, strong bitter taste. I don't do well with bitter tastes anyway, so maybe some people taste it more than others.

Oh, that reminds me: anything coffee-related.

Cabbage & cauliflower would be at the top of my list. Although there are one or two forms of raw cabbage I will eat but the political element of my objection requires them to be of non-uk origin. Cooked, no way, not in any form.

There are a few other things as well but that is a milder dislike.

Cherry-flavoured anything (except actual cherries, they're delicious).

And strawberry flavoured anything too. Yuck

Whipped cream. Even though I hate sweetcorn and ham, I'd rather eat a sweetcorn ham sandwich than a cream horn. It's just grease :(

Aubergine and artichoke. Don't like asparagus either. Asparagus and aubergine I can eat for politeness' sake, but artichoke makes me gag.

So, basically, vegetables beginning with A are out for me! (My GF's the same, oddly).

Veal, foie gras, liver/tripe/kidneys etc, lobster, crab, snails, frogs legs.

In fact I wouldn't eat any meat that I haven't already tried, as I don't want to extend my range of animals that I've eaten.

Veg wise - celery, broad beans, okra, vine leaves.

Pilchards, sardines.

Pepperoni.

marzipan. Almonds = lovely, Almond flavour = hm okay Almond paste = if I really must

marzipan = NO!

Jalapeno peppers. Anything above biryani on the curry scale.

and liqouer (sp) chocolates..

Almost exactly what I was going to write!

Fortunately I love apples, almonds and avocado. The only other things I've refuse are feet and beak. I've had tongue, squid, octopus and most types of offal. I'd try insects and brain if offered them, not sure if I'd actively go looking.

My girlfriend only seems to hate baked beans and loaf bread.

You're so wrong. Fresh corriander is gorgeous. I'm off to buy some in a minute :)

Dead animals asside I'd try most things, but trying pickled eggs would take some persuading

i didn't mind pickled eggs when i was a meat eater.
but coriander, no no.
celery is worse though.
much worse.

avocado is lush.
together with aubergine and artichoke, that's one great salad combination.

Why is that about marzipan? I don't get it. I like almond croissants but would not eat marzipan animals if I were starving. What do they do to it?

And liqueur is bleugh mixed with chocolate - the chocolate goes into little bits and swims around in the horrid sweet cherry liquid in your mouth. It's a little like vomit. :(
