Is there an explanation of how God is infallible and yet the Old Testament Exists?

What you say, Ceiling Cat?

Ceiling Cat say, man talk about Ceiling Cat in crazy way, Ceiling Cat not responsabuhl.

More to the point...

Be there a Sky Pixie, Ceiling Cat, Flying Spaghetti Monster, Nobodaddy or Jehovah on high, it wouldn't make a difference to how we should treat one another.

Isn't the usual excuse that the old testament (or at least the mostly Judaic sources it is drawn from) are "G-d's word" mediated through an author, and therefore open to error? :)

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that a more Liberal / Reform point of view? I tend to believe that the Law was part of a progressive revelation guided by The Eternal rather than a one off.

I thought that more stricter Orthodox interpretations regard the whole Torah as given in totality by The Eternal at Sinai?
