one has much more than just game playing ability the other at present only has the game playing ability. they will as with all consoles be defined by what games run best on them, if game paly is your only concern.
dvd adoption was largely due to the ps2 i'd imagine that the bringing of a cell processor would step up the other functions... it's early days yet sony have said it'll be 10 years before the next one a lot will change in 10 years... we'll see then eh?
