one can see beauty where one can not see the irony.

which isn't to say this threads descent into wanky evolutionary psychology and other poistivist nonsense isn't actually a total negation of real beauty, something that should stand above function, utility and a reductive reason.

I can't let this thread die yet because I am not sure we have yet thrown any light on how we learn what is beautiful as it applies to a person. That there may be a flawless faultless person who may be good breeding material is certainly possible, but if so, did we learn to like that or were we born liking that?

Most gals don't want that or they wouldn't nearly all end up with wronguns and only see beauty in their flaws !
Also there's loads of people who believe eg the countryside is 'disgusting' !! , 'fackin pony' .. 'brain damage'. They don't think cities are beautiful either 'they're a bit shit'? but 'any time' they were ever in 'the sticks' they ended up 'spewing' their 'ringpiece up' ! :0 |
