Exploding pigeons - touching the 25kv lines on bridges have also stopped the job on the WCML several times - some bridges now have anti roosting spikes for that reason - not for the birds - but to prevent tripping.

There are many badger runs on 3d rail tracks - the first ones were installed as long ago as the 1980s south of Tonbridfe on the Hastings line. Deer occasionally get zapped.
