Well while only one currently holds elected office, each one of them has held senior offices, either on Congressional committees or for former Presidents, so they aren't lacking credibility - as I read somewhere over the weekend, it's not so much what the SG said, it's who said it; this is the 'voice' of the US political elite saying that Bush has fucked it...

Hmm, so your dog is a master of political and media strategy, successfully made use of the internet and information systems to fundamentally change the way voters are targetted and wooed, and has manged to coordinate the most successful media manipulation of the truth in decadaes, possibly ever, in the US to a point where about 1/3 of the population literally exist in a reality bubble of his creation? And all done while liberal, radical and overseas commentators, leaders and others are all telling the people of the US 'They are lying to you all'?

I have many dogs. You should come and take a look how they do all that in Dog World and even without the help of communication systems used by humans to make other humans bark like they are instructed to bark and follow the leader like a bunch of brainwashed sheep (all of which, as we all know, isn't particularly difficult and can easily be retrieved in the regrettable bloody pages of human history).

I must say though that my cat is smarter then all the dogs together.

Rove's media control of opinion is without precendent in recent political history - with the open assistance of one media owner (Fox) and the political cover generated by 9/11 and associated declarations that criticism of GWB is 'unpatriotic' being used to keep any dissenting mainstream media voices down (not to mention the diversion of TV debate away from anything substantial about politics, while still giving the semblance of poltical discussion), Rove has managed to neutralise almost all non-consenting voices in a country with the widest variety of news sources and highest penetration of internet use in the world.

Pretty good fucking job IMO.
