Was it called "Ye Olde White Horse" in order to distinguish itself from Ye Newe White Horse on Brixton Hill, I wonder? But if it was there first it wouldn't know to call itself "Ye Olde" before the event. Hmm.

Before Bar Lorca it wasn't it just called 'The White Horse'?

I can remember when it was the (Old) White Horse & the Police would regularly put a mounted policeman on a white horse on the bit of Max Roach park just outside.
