Is talcum powder a thing of the past?

that cancer scare around talc is FREAKING me out:eek:

i do use it in the summer in the uk and when im travelling in hot countries..it can be VERY VERY useful in topical climates..esp the prickly heat type of powder which does cool you right down and give you a tingle..i LOVE it!!!!:)

supermarkets will have own brand baby powder for a very cheap price..or used to.
pound shops will often have a good selection perfumy ones..

i didnt realise people used it all year round i thought it was a hot weather thing only..

I love talc. I usually stock up on a supply of Coty L'aimant talc in the post-Xmas sales. You can get a pretty good selection of interesting ones in TK Maxx. Tried the Lush ones but they're a bit crunchy. If all else fails, Johnsons.

It seems to be coming back in fashion again - Lush sell 'dusting powder' now I notice. Was always very popular when I was a teenager - you could always get one to match your perfume :)

I have used talc for years to dry myself off after a shower or bath, find it especially useful for feet and getting between toes properly dry.

I heard about the health scare from someone in the 90's - I had wondered why it went so hard to find! Too late for me to worry about the health aspect now - I will take my chance! I used to get mine from Superdrug who do an own brand adult one (I HATE the smell of baby talc so I wouldn't use that)
Now I usually buy Imperial Leather from Tesco as it's good value for money.

I use it at weekends. It helps prevent that horrible affliction known as RSB...
