My point was that you were displaying an element of hypocritical ignorance. I agree, it's a misleading name and shouldn't really be called it. But it can hardly compare to what used to be the European Cup, which changed its name to the "Champions League" as soon as they started letting non-champions in.

And it's not a league either - it has a first phase where teams play in groups of 4 followed a knockout competition. By that logic the World Cup should be called the World Champions League.
