It's entirely natural to eat meat, but ignoring the plight of your food source through over-hunting, over-fishing, genetic fiddling about, hormone dabbling and dreadful conditions would seem a tad short sighted.Meat is so tasty. Tofu is rubbish unless it's deep fried. Don't do it. Fuck the dolphins and whales. Don't be a hippy.
They're not farmed
They are, however, allowed to suffocate to death.
I think it'll be ok if the animal died of natural causes.
Recycling and all that.

It's a bit inhumane, isn't it? If that was the method used in slaughterhouses, people'd be up in arms.
Actually arable farming is significantly more damaging unless it's organic. All those pesticides, fertilisers going into the soil plus veg use up the goodness in the soil more quickly.I'm sure quite arable farming can be as environmentally damaging as livestock farming and fishing
Fucks sake, we can't even treat people properly around most of the world, why all the fussing about fish and chickens...
You don't care about the health of the things you eat? That's how I feel most of the time - I can't quite stop myself thinking that they're only animals, so tuck in
I do, I wouldn't buy factory farmed food, but that doesn't stop you eating meat. You don't care about the health of the things you eat?
You don't care about the health of the things you eat?
I do sometimes, but I happily eat foie gras. I'm not exactly consistent in my approach to meat-eating

Yeah, but it's fucking lush.
It's fucking delicious - don't think I don't appreciate the hard work that goes into it

You don't care about the health of the things you eat?
It's only a fish though innit.
Yes. Yes it is.
the ions on he savannah don't have a choice, you/we do.
HTH
oh, and i believe the time will come where future peoples will look back in horror at how humans treated animals.
"and they ate them?!?!, sick"

I'm basically not happy about eating something I'm not prepared to kill.
I don't think it's wrong to eat meat at all, I agree that some of the conditions animals are kept in are terrible but I still have little problem eating meat as far as I see it a balanced diet of meat, veg and fruit is the best way to go.
I dislike the fact that because I eat meat I'm now morally inferior to those who don't, not all vegetarians think like this but a few of them do. I hate anyone who tries to make their position the moral high ground just to sneer at others for not following what is essentially a personal dietary choice.
Agree, it's all about a personal dietary choice, and your body will let you know what you need, and what you don't need.
