yeah, you're right dave really. relegation battles and mid-table obscurity is pretty good too!
The resulting economic knock-on effect would then see smaller clubs in the lower leagues struggle to stay afloat.
Still, what are you going to do? Not go? It's still a good day out even if you're 3-0 down in 20 mins.![]()
I hated being in the championship. It was harder to watch highlights, find out west ham news and i didn't know half the players we were playing against, oh and our big signings were all from wimbeldon, which was a bit shit.
would it? which of the economic benefits in the premiership really trickles down to the lower leagues. down here we still get the majority of our money from gate receipts, local sponsorship deals, the odd cup run/promotion. what are these so called economic benefits which we in the lower leagues have to thank the big boys for?
It doesn't matter which league you're in really. We've gone from the premier league to the (old) fourth division and now we're slowly dragging ourselves back up again. It's all about being with your mates, having a good drink and going to places where you can't understand what the locals are saying. You can do that whatever division you find yourself in.
I don't give a fuck about who we're playing against. I don't need to watch highlights because I go to the games and Rovers news is on the Rovers website and in the local press.

you can get highlights of all football league games on Sky Sports News, the Championship on ITV on a sunday morning and online via Virgin Media.
Also on local news if you live local.
Enough for me ta, but if you really want to then you can get them off your own team's website.
Swindon v Leeds was a good day out
I've enjoyed Leeds United in Div 2 and 3
Fucking rubbish football though

i like the way leeds fans make out they're doing us a favour dropping down a couple of divisions & not jst down to the fact they've been shit for a few years
