Is it weird to eat the items on your plate separately?

That must be excruciating to watch.

Food seperatists are frankly bizarre... The fish and chips example isn't a very good one. I often eat the chips seperately as I get through the fish more quickly, or because I want to save it or something. More apt would be a roast dinner; how could you possibly eat a roast one piece at a time? the thought sickens me. As has been pointed out food combinations and their impact on the palette are where the great innovators work... You don't see Heston Blumenthal laying out each piece of food do you? Eating is about flavour combination and anyone who seperates is just plain dirty. imo.

I pour gravy over all my roasts, then eat the second veg, then the parsnips, then the spuds and finally the meat - works very well for me

What's wrong with that? Isn't that the whole point of a meal - the final forkful of heaven? :p

No cos curry is basically meat with spicy gravy and gravy goes on everything. I eat the least favourite thing first then upwards til the favourite thing, so typically, it would go carrot, broccoli, potato, then finally meat

Exactly what I do as well, have for as long as I can remember - pisses me off when I'm full before I get to my favourite thing but still doesn't stop me doing it :o :)

lets be honest, this is criminal and the mark of someone who really doesn't like Sunday roast - which is even more criminal.

I love Sunday roast - I just don't want to dilute my flavours

If I became aware of anyone eating a Sunday roast I cooked in this way then you can be assured that the helpings would become weighted so as to ensure that you were full be the time you reached the climax.

Then again I tend not to put food side by side on plates but rather build towers when at all possible, I really hate pie chart layout, it allows the consumer to much say in how the meal you prepared should be combined.

I'm confused as to why you don't think that a roast or a curry should be eaten together then?

I always noticed alot of boys do this, but that might be jsut my experience.

My ex used to, with a cooked breakfast, eat each section separately and in a special order, leaving the egg yolk until last.

Too systematic for me, just shovel it in.

Also to the sepratists - Don't you get bored with one flavour, then another flavour and so on. I would find it really tough to eat a chunk of chicken by itself - it's meant to be combined.

I think a curry should be mixed but I don't like doing it with a roast - I like to savour each element

That's what gravy is for - also you should season chicken and any meat to vary the taste of it

But regarding your question, chin dildo - I like to mix and match my grub. Sometimes I'll mix it togetehr, sometimes I'll take unadulterated morsels.

I think the thing of not wanting the food to touch or mix is a bit autistic, eh. And don't they say that all boys are a bit autistic; so that might be why not mixing the food is a boy thing more than a girl thing...

God, it's really fucking weird. Mr Scumbalina does it and it makes me  Like, say we had baked potato and beans for tea, I'd have a litle bit of bean and a little bit of potato for each mouthful. Yum. Him...potato in one, then beans...WTF? A whole potato then some beans...why? WND he doesn't mash his botter in proper, just puts it on the top, and then kinda slices the potato so essebtially it just dry potato, all hard, without beans. Twat. And don't even start me on the way he eats his roast dinners:mad:

So yes, it is weird, it's probably really annoying everyone around you and making them feel sick and you should stop it RIGHT NOW.
