Is it safe to go to wales today?

and free hospital car parking, and a new infants curriculum which produces better results for children than the english imposed one...and bus travel for free for over 60's, free swimming for children in the hols and over 60's ....
England hasnt managed to do the same and arent they all so spittingly jealous:p

....and sustainable development built into the constitution: the first parliament in the world to do so. But don't let actual facts like that spoil your fun, Isitme :)

Course we are jealous, most of England is just as shite as wales and most of england would agree with what scotland and wales offer their citizens

And your point was, caller?

I was wrong, BTW. You're a far worse troll than Ffanta or his little sidekick. Bless ;)

It's all a bit of lighthearted banter. I am not going to troll the Welsh forum. And I'm definetely not firky

I do really like Wales and Welsh people. I don't like your nationalism because being 'engerlish' I hate nationalism, and for a country that we used to not even bother invading half the time and who have to ask london to build you a parliment to be nationalistic in I find Welsh nationalism doubly idiotic. It's just people and places

fuck off eh! :rolleyes::mad::hmm:

I thought this meant today as in 'today's society'. Is it safe to go to Wales today? Well they've finished off the dragon but the peasants are still rabid.

you're a london

london welsh?

she is a london

Off ye go, fuck off back to Northumberland now, there's a good kid. Doubtless you'll soon forget us under the deluge of amazing festivals, massive castles and fascinating native tongues.

No, really, off you fuck.......:)

no, but luckily we don't have yet another parliment either, and we don't have to explain that we really are a country not just a bunch of silly hatted hill people trying to make a point

No, isitme. You really don't have to explain. We'll just infer:)

It's easy to say but harder to do. We significantly underperform on a number of indicators.... :hmm:

I still can't figure out how thw free presecriptions etc are bring paid for....

Agreed. Rather like the declaration of human rights, though, at least it's there, and at least it is a consideration if not an actuality.

I was told by someone in a pub (so it must be true) that the free prescriptions thing was a bit of a red herring anyway.
If you added up all the kids, students, OAPs, people on benefits of various kinds, and everyone else who didn't have to pay before this change, then it wasn't as much as all that anyway.
I think it's a good move, tho. Evene if the Western Mail keeps running stories about patients caliming for bonjella on the NHS and whatnot.

Christ, if I hear one more person whining about 'its not being fair'....

Saes people, if you want at least a bit of social justice stop voting for fucking tories. Its that simple.

Hit the nail on the head there.

It isn't our fault that political parties in England are all horrifically right-wing.

Personally I think the new 'Foundation Phase' for educating our kids is going to be something special although it'll take a few years to be properly funded. It's based on Scandinavian practices and those countries have the best education systems in the world.

Ive already seen some of it in action as the trial phases were introduced in certain things at my kids old school.
They spent lots of time outdoors ( in all weathers- if its wet, they don all in ones and get on with it) they grow their own vegetables, spend time studying nature, lots of time on physical play and imaginitive play

and for all that time spent "Playing" their literacy and numeracy results improved, they kids were more confident, happy and relaxed....

England wont be brave enough to follow suit, their results driven culture wont allow them to deviate from the politically driven national curriculum

That sounds as if there's certain similarities with Steiner techniques. I had a really interesting discussion with a Steiner teacher a few months ago, a lot of how she described that system really appealed to me.
