Is it right to call DJ/radio host Alex Dyke a c**t live on air?

Is it right to call in and call him a bigoted racist cunt live on-air?

All digital 'radio' signals have a few seconds delay because it takes a while for the signal to be processed and output from the computer memory. If you listen to a DAB radio at the same time as an analogue radio you will hear the difference. Similarly if you listen to a BBC radio programme via your computer and put the radio on at the same time you will hear the difference.

I voted 'whatever' as I've got some malformed opinion about losing an argument by sinking to someone's level, like.

It wasn't a case of losing the argument, but getting bored with it after almost 10 minutes. :)

Anyway, he has just announced that the phone-in has been cancelled until further notice, because of my call, after he got into trouble with the management for not using the delay and allowing it to go out on-air – lol. :D

So, not only have I reduced his opportunities to sprout bollocks for the time being, but I’ve got him in trouble with his new bosses in his first week – a better result then I expected TBH.

Congratulations then :D As long as you were effective I shall step gingerly down onto the 'cunt' side of the fence

Because he has claimed there was a delay system in place, which he chose not to use – he’s now reading out e-mails having a go at him not using it! :D

It’s funny, because I didn’t believe a word of what he said about not using the delay, I reckon they didn’t have one installed and this statement from the management on their website seems to support my thinking. :hmm:

Phone-in Abuse - Never again!

Unfortunately a caller on the phone-in yesterday thought he was clever by using abusive language on the phone-in, which sadly went out on air.

The second this happened the owners took appropriate action and ordered an expensive delay system which is being delivered this morning.

As the station policy is 'Radio for the whole family' they have asked that the phone-in is not broadcast live this morning until such time as this delay unit has been installed, so this could mean that the phone-in may start a bit later today.

Once again, wightFM apologises on behalf of this caller. The delay system will ensure that this will never happen again as it will ALWAYS be active during any live phone call to the station.

Hahaha nice work :D

It got better, towards the end of the hour of the ‘non-phone-in’ show, he said the new caller delay system had arrived, but they are not sure when they can get it installed.

He went on to say he has had a disagreement with the bosses, because he doesn’t want to use it (why?), but has been told if he doesn’t and anything like this happens again he will be out of a job.

Oh, the temptation to test it when they have it up and running. :D

It seems to have caused a bit of a stir on the IoW forum, where the station is being blamed for allowing the call to go out, in view of AD attracting such calls in the past due to his 'shock-jock' style on his former station.

What a shame. But I do remember the same thing (and worse) happening at Isle of Wight radio. That''s why they were forced to introduce a 7 second delay system having operated for years without one.

How can our local MP have been involved with the launch of a station which clearly lacks common decency or family values? It''s out of control and I am not surprised Isle of Wight Radio got shot of Alec, if this is what he is truly like! We shall never listen again!

Okeys, good point about the c word. Next time, just call him a "stupid fuckwit." I'm happy with that one! :D

Having had the phone-in show suspended last week, it was due to go ahead today as the new 9-second caller delay device has been installed, but it seems to have caused some sort of problem as incoming calls are just getting the engaged tone – lol. :D

So, third day of him unable to do his phone-in.

Just found out the cunt left for the states a few weeks ago, but continued to do his show for WightFM remotely until about a week ago, when he resigned due to lack of response to his shows – lol. :D

Now, all the other presenters have left and the station is reduced to just playing non-stop music 24/7, whilst advertising for new presenters – couldn’t have happened to a more deserving station IMO. :D

On the minus side, the cunt has got himself a job on a talk station in the US, no doubt one where racist, bigoted cunts are the norm. :(

Read through this old thread with much amusement, but you let yourself down just now with some stereotyping, the same sort you criticised this Dyke feller for on air.

I would disagree, I said 'no doubt one', I was not stereotyping all US talk stations. :p

Voted yes, but not keen on the 'c' word... I've always found calling someone a c. because they're nasty, rude, racist whatever pretty misogynist - it implies there's something wrong/negative with women's bits.

So in the end, it seems it is right to call a racist radio phone-in host a cunt live on air.

Well done, sir. :)

What a fucking cunt

BBC radio DJ Alex Dyke said last year he would refuse to play the song.

"I hope I'm not going to ruin your Christmas, but I’ve decided that I am no longer comfortable with playing Fairytale of New York by the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl," he said.

“I think Christmas songs should be about excited children, toys, Christmas trees, snowy streets, ski lodges, reindeer, wrapping paper, Santa, family, peace on earth and love.

"Ski lodges" FFS.
