A friend of mine was a cameraman on the original series. It was crazy how tight the production schedule was for each episode to keep them topical, particularly given the relatively primitive broadcast tech available compared to now.

I'm thinking of his stand-up, which it's fair to say hasn't stood the test of time. With blackadder it was collaborative, when he was on his own he was er erratic

I’ve forgotten he did stand up , must have been great however he also was involved with writing the young ones , so once he must have be ok , but that’s it for me bigging him up , he certainly changed

There was a CGI show a few years ago, which was very much in the vein of Spitting Image. I forget its name, or whether it was any good. That it hasn't been subsequently recommissioned suggests it wasn't a commercial success.
