I wasn't cold last night, but I had to turn the heating on to dry my trainers and rucksack from the utter drenching I got on the way home. I haven't got that wet for a long time.
I think putting the heating on to dry washing is an appalling waste of gas
I never use my tumble drier to dry stuff straight out of the washing machine - it's left overnight on the clothes horse and then put in for about 20 mins the next day.
the heating isn't on to dry the clothes, its because its on we put the clothes on the radiators
if its windy and dry the clothes go outside on the line
I wouldn't have a tumbledrier though, occassionally we put the heating on just for the clothes if its been a shitty rainy day but its warm but only for about an hour and then all the radiators will be full of clothes
