Is it legal to work a 72 hour week?

It's legal to work however long you want to as an adult, depending on the job.

did a 120 hour week once sat in a trench in west germany thats 120 hours awake more or less after the 15th packet of proplus the halluctions are quite cool

I've done 80-100 hour shifts a few times at festivals co-ordinating stewards and stuff, with the odd powernap if I was lucky

I try to pace myself a bit better, and plan things out better in advance if I can these days, but I still racked up 82 hours in 5 days at glade last year - though that was a bit of an emergency situation

Note what I said earlier - the legislation is about an average working week of no more than 48 hours. So, you could do 72 one week so long as it is not every week, and so long as there is a proper break between shifts.
