It doesnt take a post grad in social studies to understand class conciousness. What I am demonstrating is that the UK working class generally dont give a toss for class consciousness. Can you demonstrate otherwise? I doubt it.

Many people are in severe debt to banks etc. which charge interest. We probably work more than ever. Many people are working 50 plus hours a week plus a commute. In that time they are not free and they are very often basically exploited. This is not to mention the mental and emotional energy that get taken up out of work hours.

Then, at leisure they often consume goods made by people in an even worse situation - they are complicit in the exploitation through their choice of purchase.

Capitalism exploits people and makes them exploiters.

The link? Same person, different roles. Other than that it is as blurred as it sounds.
