Is it a bit excessive not to buy a product just because they sponsor a rival?

Would you buy a product made by a company which sponsors / sponsored a rival?

My heart swells every time I see Cowlin Construction building another set of yuppie flats :cool:
 
I'd rather not see any sponsorship on football shirts let alone be influenced by it.

And, for me, around the touchlines as well. As for that in the grass advertising they have at cricket and rugby - just unacceptable. I refuse to watch.

Throw in the adverts between halves or overs and just how many messages do they want you to absorb at one time? Just can't accept it.

Yeah, an American actually said to me that one of the big turnoffs for him about sawker, other than the usual complaints about lack of scoring, was the 'commercials on the suits'. (i.e. the sponsor insignia on the kit). He said that much as the USA was the ultimate corporate society, they still regarded things like sports kits as sacrosanct...
