Of course it is. Creation has given nothing but pain for anyone or anything involved. We live off each other and feed on each other. We live in the lap of luxury waiting for our deaths whilst the vast majority live in extreme poverty and hardship not knowing why. We hate and mistrust one another, and contiuously kill ourselves in meaningless wars only designed to keep a population from starving, and to keep rich people content. We wank away our children, and those we keep we put upon with our prejudices and neediness. God did this to us yet there are people out there willing to tap their tambourines, shape their hair into pigtails, blow themselves up or walk down highstreets singing for a blue faced 4 headed loony who threatens to recreate us as destitute if we don't follow.

So with this info is God/Krishna/Allah really the great entity that all these fucking loonys who follow think he is. Or is he just some goat fucking sadistic cockhead?

Why not? I don't want to end up in heaven with a load of wife beaters, tambourine bashers, jovos, hare hare Krishnas, pig tailed inbreeds and women who make themselves look like sand monsters to appease their husbands.

    Sorry. give it a rest

    Can't ideas be evil?

Obviously God, being omnipotent, is the source of what we call "evil" as well as of what we call "good." The being we call "Satan" is one aspect of our experience of what we call "God." Put another way, "Satan" is a particular way of regarding "God."
  12. WeTheYouth

    WeTheYouth www.wmanarchists.org

Ideas can be damaging to people, and probably could be regarded as evil, but ideas are not omnipotent beings.

The scariest thing about God is that the idea of him came from humans. Yes, the mono-god worshipped by jews, xians and moslems is pretty twisted - but all that tells us is that the human psyche is a perverse place.

well, i don;t know God personally, and seeing as i believe that we are all god, i suspect that god is whatever we want him/her/it to be.

but the old testament god is quite a bastard. the new testament one is ok though.

Yes you do. Marcion subordinated the God of the Old Testament, the Demiurge, to the all-powerful God of the New Testament. The former is an emanation of the latter: independent, yes, but not separate in origin. Mani, in contrast, saw the evil creator-God and the good Redeemer-God as equals. His argument is fully-developed dualism, that of Marcion is incipient dualism subsumed under monism.

blah blah blah why isn`t god a puppet master making my life perfect blah blah blah

    Jeeez.

IMHO God is the pinnacle of the universal conciousness, humans have their own seperate group conciousness which ATM isn`t evolved enough to communicate widescale with what you call God.

Worship life itself, worship growth. Believing in God isn`t about surrendering yourself to tampered old books, its about looking inside and realising we are our own Gods....or our own demons.

Well, yeah, God's only a bastard if he's responsible for the world being as shit as it is.

It's interesting that in the new testament there's this story which presumably Jesus told his followers, about Jesus being taken up to the pinnacle of the temple, and Satan offering him all the kingdoms of the earth, and Jesus doesn't dispute that they were his to give, at this time.

I often think that since that time and this, we've been in a kind of in-between time, where Satan lost his power over humanity, but maintained it by tradition. And maybe the redemption of the world is within our grasp, if we could only realise it.

With respect to what Azrael said. I kind of agree, and I don't set as much store by old books as it might appear from what I put above, but, there is a question about whether humanity's salvation is a collective or an individual thing. What if it's only if we unite that we become as God, and become truly the masters of our fate. And as individuals, realising that we've each got a piece of divine spirit, how much can we achieve?
  26. phildwyer

    phildwyer Gorau arf arf dysg

Aye, Satan is "the Prince of this world" innit? The temptation in the wilderness is an astonishing story in itself, and becomes more so if considered alongside the commentaries provided by Milton in _Paradise Regained_ and Dostoevsky in "The Grand Inquisitor." But logically, we must remember that Satan is an aspect of God--consider the Book of Job, where we find him in heaven, apparently an angel (that is to say a messenger of God) in good stead. There, he conveys God's message to Job, and that message is that the world is a terrible, awful place. Which is, of course, one way of looking at it.

I don't really know how to look at it, but I went for years thinking obviously all this stuff about the devil in christianity is a load of crap, but more recently, I have been inclined to think that actually the case against God is actually quite strong if it's not a case of us being as it were trapped in enemy-occupied territory, and there being a problem for God in that sorting it out by direct action would make us collateral damage, like a body riddled with cancer has to heal itself from the inside where surgery might kill the patient.

As to the idea that God and the Devil are actually partners, well, from a certain point of view this may be true, but I suspect that within this world, we kind of have to treat it as a real war that really matters, if you can see the God and the Devil terminology as helpful at all.

Language is always to some extent misleading though.

I don`t know how people can spend so much time arguing over 2-d descriptions of God/s that were noted so long ago as to be almost completely worthless anyway.
Hell theres a lot of evidence that suggests Yahweh was a flesh and blood character anyway.

What do debates like this ever solve?

Personal experience is the only road to God, meditate, astral project, get in touch with nature. It may sound cheesy but thats the way of truth, being eternal its oft repeated. :)

    Eventually a site woth truth

I know its been ages since the original pst was written but i just had to vent my crap.

There is no god, and there are no gods. There are people. actually there are people and there are authorities who give permission or not on a subject, ie. The Bible, man made, government sponcered and authority written and edited to serve their needs.

To put the majority under their control. I read that if hes evil dont piss him off. Well i challenge this fuckwit of a god. I chanllenge them all. Yahwe, Satan, Ala, i challenge them all to stand in front of me right now this minute and look into my eyes, dont look around my eyes look into my eyes. And let mne see yours so i can throw a big green un in your fuckwit face.

COME TO ME NOW you npothingness piece of shit.

Phil collins comes to mind. "Theres no reply at aaaaaooooll, no reply at all.

If this god did exist he would appear unless hes the shitbag type which is my bet.

No its very much a man made structure to have a different choice other than government.

Government just jumped onto the band wagon. Yahwe is about as powerful as jesus its just a shame that a large majority of the earth loves that nothinness more than his brother.

    Still no reply. Fuckin Pussy.

When you accept god unconditionally/ignorantly some/authorities will allow you to work in their precious factories for a pittance.

Hoy Yehwe YOU ARE NOT. I AM. LOL.

No really Yahwe LET MY PEOPLE GO ya fucwit, theyre making my life a misery.
