I was wondering how that would work with the names of some Cambridgeshire villages added, and my conclusion was, it wouldn't...

Fenland. Slightly lower UN development scores than Finland despite the similar name.

It's in central England. Not the midlands but on the same geographic level as Birmingham. I'm from there and I would never say it was in the south, I'd say east. As for accents, it depends where you are. If you're from Cambridge you'll sound like a southern posho, if you're from Peterborough you'll sound like someone from Leicester. I grew up there and id pronounce 'glass' as 'gl-a-ss' not 'gl-ar-se

My dear sibling, down the road near bury sounds like a yokel! I certainly never taught her to speak in such a manner.

    Somersham, Warboys, Fenton, Pidley...

    Oh, I dunno.

I was brought up 20 miles from Cambridge, in an even worse shithole called Bedfordshire. Which is an even harder place to, er, place. Not quite the East Midlands, not really East Anglia. But we did get Anglia TV with that shit man-in-armour-on-horse going round and round. So East Anglia it is.

    And south.
