Is Britain a culturally Marxist society?

"cultural marxism" was an attack term devised by the hard rights deliberate misreading of certain members of the frankfurt school during the 'culture wars' of the 80s. To see it still being chucked around today is rather touching - like Newt Gingrich never happened, I'm sure monglot can fill us in on Adorno and benjamin and their analyis of popular culture when he gets a chance...

Now listen here matey, I'm not just down wit' da yoof, I am also known to ambulate gently toward the bottom in the company of academics and am generally aware of the more Nathan Barley-esque terminology to emerge from Soho and Shoreditch, and I've NEVER seen that term used, commonly or uncommonly. So stick that in your multicultural pipe and smoke it.

Perhaps then you can specify the term which is more commonly used than "cultural Marxism" for the phenomenon of legally enforced equality which is the subject of this thread. I have no particular attachment to the term "cultural Marxism" and do not wish it to be used as a distraction.

Legally enforced equality...well, I'd first of all say that it isn't (women's pay for starters).

Are you perchance blithering about the legal obligation employers etc have to NOT discriminate against someone on the grounds of race and gender? Fucking outrageous that is, me not being allowed to put 'No wogs, No Irish, No Pregnancy risks' on my job ads.

Tosser.

notice the caveat...'all men'...except them negro fellas which in order to compromise with powerful landowners who sided with the Brits to accept this Constitution, whom we'll call 3/5s of a man. And don't mention the womenfolks, they'll only start gettin' uppity

Something along those lines - what I most remember was the disgust Paine had over the eventual result which was little more than an elected monarch, who in fact had MORE powers than the hereditary inbreds in the UK ended up with...oh the historical irony he cried as someone tried to arrest him...again..

...Cultural Marxism it is then.

It's fine and dandy for you to apply erroneous labels. You know why? because it means that when you open your mouth near someone who has a clue what the phrase actually means, they'll have been able to mark your card "not particularly bright right-winger". :)

I believe the bible is quite clear on the darkie status question.

Jeremiah 28:14 - For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.
