Sadly, I doubt there would have been any soul-searching.

I would certainly say that after a 52% remain victory that there should have been a rethink of the UK's relationship with the EU, but I'm afraid that nothing i've seen of how 'remainiacs' deal with with leavers, or speak about the various issues facing the EU, suggests that this is an ideology or pyschology that reaches out to people or seeks a workable compromise. No, had remain won, regardless of the margin, then the EUphiles would have taken it as a writ to end all discussion and indeed as an instruction to engage more deeply in the project.

Despite being very much of the liberal, remain-voting, Guardian reading establishment, I don't like what I see of the liberal, remain-voting, Guardian reading establishment very much at all....

The outcome of no-deal would be even more damaging to the party than the internal struggle, would it not? It'd be the stick to beat them with for all time.
Certainly won't do them much good. This is why I think she'll do all she can to get her deal through, the other options are too shit from her pov. And if she does get it through with support from the labour right (the most likely imo) they will have saved the tory partys electoral fortunes for a decade or so
The fucking rotters.

It’ll be like the Scottish referendum, how we all laughed at the mess the Tories has made of it when the possibility of a ‘Yes’ vote appeared late on and their apparent panic and incompetence, and yet at the end of the process it was Labour that was fucked. I’ve an uncomfortable feeling that Brexit will go the same way, government gets what it wants, opposition takes the damage for leaning one way or another. Tory rule forever.

Tory rule for ever in England as Scotland will definitely leave next time after the pig fucker laughed in their faces after last time and then they get fucked over by a no deal they didn't even vote for. They could fund their economy by charging ex-UK people £2000 a pop for a five year Scottish and so EU passport. I'd pay, specially if it was red...

There will be no brexit without a hard border on the island of Ireland.
A hard border on the island of Ireland risks violent behaviour.
