Is an Anarchist Society Possible?

Say Wales was to become an anarchist community. It would still need a defence policy otherwise the english could just come in and raid its riches. And if it had a defence policy it would need a defence force and they would need weapons. That is an arms trade.

thats a bit harsh dillinger

Don't worry about it Shevek, I have been insulted I think 4 times on here today, the worst was someone calling me an utter moron! it was just a discussion but people sometimes lose their cool ... whatever

its just something Im interested in but no one seems to take me seriously or want to give me proper feedback. If your not ideologically 'correct' people dont want to know.

harsh or not, he has a point. How many threads have you posted on this or similar subjects lately?

Harsh would be being told that you need to shut the fuck up.

If you are so interested in Anarchism, go and read some books, know what you are talking about, take a position and debate on that, or something.

Don't just post thread after thread of vague pointless questions that won't go anywhere so you can talk about how you have read Noam Chomsky which makes you an @narchist and then complain when a debate doesn't happen.

dillinger no offence but you never seem to have an opinion so you can hardly talk

lay your cards on the table

the fact that you're using phrases like ideologically correct as some kind of fuckwit pejorative means you're wasting people's time.

Im gonna leave it now. Its not worth rileing people up about nothing. Some people just 'bite' on anything or are non commital and annoying.

I am sure it won't be long before there is another pointless thread to let us know all the right on things you have glanced at in the last five minutes.

You're winding people up because you seem to do no research of your own and instead post lots of threads on here asking very basic questions - and to be blunt it looks like you're asking people to do your basic research/reading for you. Really, you need to step away from the computer and do some reading. Of books. I wonder if you've got a problem concentrating on books or are treating the internet as some of information teat. It just doesn't work like that.

It might help if you asked questions that were more specific than jsut about 'anarchist society' or whatever, and showed that you'd formed something of an opinion beforehand. People soon see through someone who's not really thought about stuff

Ok I guess I am being a bit lazy. Point taken. Sorry dont mean to wind ppl up to be honest. I like urban cos you get some different perspectives. Sorry treat this thread as a mistake. I will go away and do more reading next time/real life activism and come back with some decent, concrete, well thought through questions. Again my apologies. I am not a wind up merchant. Must say I am a bit addicted to Urban at the moment.

I didn't mean to be so harsh shevek, but it needed to be said.

Just relax, take some time to read and form your own opinions, don't post so many threads and read what other people have to say. Just read and listen, and then read some more. Make up your own mind about things.

:)

Poor Shevek, he must have been listening to his Rage Against The Machine albums really hard :(

Thanks Dillinger. You are right I probably do need to relax a bit, read, listen, take some time away from urban, do other things, form my own opinions.

Cheers :p

No there will never be an anarchist society because since the dawn of time humans have fucked over other humans. Always have, always will.
