Iron Man

Enjoyable romp. :)

Decent amount of humour, the odd cameo and in-joke - well enough done and a fair addition to the current 'graphic novel' catalogue.

Really enjoyed it. No, not the ultimate comic-book-experience-on-screen that we're all waiting (indefinitely) for, but -

Inspired casting - RDJ was  and funny, and looked like he was really enjoying himself, and took us along for the ride.

It was fast-paced, but they took the time to develop the story.

Bridges is going to get asked to bust that look in every other film he makes now.

Paltrow person was okay, I thought, given that her character is basically a lackey. I spent a while trying to work out if it was her or Zooey Deschanel! (Cos I is thick :o).

I saw this yesterday. I thought it was fast paced, a superior slice of cheese, as it had its very witty moments (mostly due to RDJ). Pretty enjoyable stuff. Not up there with say X Men 2 and BAtman Begins, but certainly leagues ahead of pap like Fantastic Four.

got the dvd today

so am i about to be outraged or pleasantly surprised given my tastes in filums

i.e. blowing things up and guns = good. in depth plotlines = optional

LOTS of beautiful guns and weapons, I wasn't totally WAHH! over it, but think it would have been better to see it on the BIG screen instead of a 650mb avi file running from a hard drive on a 26" telly...

lets just say that for me transformers was ruined by the love bits. needed more scenes of fighting robots and explosions imo (she was fit though)

Oh yeah I agree with you there...just found IM boring. The best bit is the after the credit scene.

saw iron man

it's good

it kinda fizzels at the the end with the big fight scene being far less impresive than the test run i kinda aggre with what mark kermode said about it
