In this Muslim terrorist/American war.

when we begin to really fight them this issue will be concluded very quickly
I know how you hope it willbe horrible so you can sit back and say I told you so,
all this future predictin is gettin me tired

Likewise hope that the Russian general was speaking with tongue very firmly in cheek. But it could just be to ratchet up the pressure on Ukraine. The warheads were returned in the mid-90's & only now the Russian military have stated that 250 warheads went missing. Hope these things have an expiry or best before date..

Yes. Use before 2506AD.

Just how big do you think these ships are?

How much room does a standard US Carrier Group take up? Guessing at maybe 1 or 2 carriers, 2 or 3 cruisers and 10 - 15 destroyers/frigates plus support ships, that's a hell of a lot of real estate. Just because the Gulf is a lot wider than the width of a ship doesn't mean that isn't very constricted in Naval warfare terms.

If war broke out, those ships would be destroyed in the first few hours.

Hopefully - no plan survives the first contact with the enemy. The lesson taught to every soldier on day one, week one of training.

Ever served in the forces yourself Chickenhawk?

Chickenhawk n. A person enthusiastic about war, provided someone else fights it; particularly when that enthusiasm is undimmed by personal experience with war; most emphatically when that lack of experience came in spite of ample opportunity in that person’s youth.

By fuck...looks as if there's been a complete Bot meltdown along the line

Has anyone realised that should Iran be attacked they will most likely use their terrorist connections (Hizbellah) to launch terrorist attacks against European civilian targets. That is not including probable terrorist attacks by 2nd & 3rd generation European Muslims as seen in London on 7th July. Should Iran be attacked they will look to extend the conflict throughout the Gulf & further afield to Europe.

I'm sure I could find an appropriate picture to go with this post but I'm not as crass as some folk - right, Johnny?

to what end bring nato into the mix thats a good plan
if bush is planning on a war with iran there conventional military is toast just look at how much the US spends and how much iran sppends on the military. :(
like man utd and brighton having a football match only with much more death and destruction :(
iran might get a couple of hits in and be completely ungovernable but any conventional miltary unit that attmept to manovure will be found and destroyed :(
even if iran sank one carrier americas got plenty more :(

To people who are not retarded, the rapid decimation of Iraq's armor speaks volumes about US capabilities.

Completely different weaponry being used against completely different targets in a completely different tactical situation.

Other than that, it's obviously a very valid comparison

You'd think that a guy who'd been in the army might have picked up on that.

Explain to me Johnny, exactly how is the decimation of obsolete tanks in the desert similar to an attack on ships at sea?

Really?

Actually, all it tells you (which is hardly "volumes" unless your "volumes" are Janet & John books) is that Iraqi armour was prone to air attack from A10s.

You need to step back from your masturbation fantasies and engage with the real world, boy.
