It boast about "ooooh you can have 450 billion photos to look at and see album covers and everything"
a) if you've got 4gig worth of songs - (and if you havn't, you don't need an ipod in the first place imo) - you won't fit any photos on it.
b) I can read a book, why the hell do I need to look at miniscule photos?

The only think I'm slightly jelous of is the battery life, but we can upgrade to a high density battery and sort that out. *pats ipod reasuringly*

the headphone socket is on the bottom? thats a bit annoying...and it's one of those hang around ur next thingies like the shuffle...hmmm don't like that. Always liked the mini coz of how easily it clips to your belt and stuff

Fairplay to Apple. Thought I was going to be unimpressed with the ipod phone (and was - it's just another clunkyish Motorola with slightly better music implementation) but the Nano's one unexpected bonus.
It looks a slick bit of kit at a surprisingly keen price - essentially replacing the ipod mini whilst miniaturising the thing ruthlessly. The ipod mini's seemingly discontinued for the moment, so it seems likely there'll be some reduced size 'full' ipods soon. And, unless I'm mistaken, it's solid state memory so the thing so be approaching Random One's elevated dropping standards. ..
