i loved kick when i was 13. my sister made me a tape with aztec camera on the other side...

anyway, i guess it was my introduction to anything other than teenpop or my parents' AOR. It was eye-opening, and i played that tape to death.

haven't listened to it for twenty odd years though, and i doubt i'd bother now.

edit to add: when i was at acting school we had to learn a power ballad for our audition repertoire (which sounds bizarre, now i think about it...) anyway -- i consequently used to do a mean "never tear us apart".
