Introducing the Red and Black Club - Monthly Anarchist Discussion/Planning and Social

Wait was that the Sunday just gone or the Sunday coming up?

I was going to come along to this, but it seems I fucked that one up a bit.

It was last Sunday. The next meeting will be on the 12th April. We may be having a pre meeting in March to specifically arrange stuff for the April shenanigans. I will keep you all informed.

Second Sunday in March. Upstairs at The Calthorpe Arms, 252 Grays Inn Road, WC1 from 7pm. Accommodation available for the far travelled. PM me for details.

I will take what donations people can afford. So far the lowest is 50p and they get a flag, the largest was £60 and they get a flag. :)

Seamstress skills always welcome.

50p? they'd be lucky to get the gunk under my fingernails for that!

as i was saying the other week, you should chalk up a table of donations saying what everybody chips in.

folk'll do anything to see their name put up and everybody likes to flash the cash so i reckon it'd be well popular and folk'd be throwing the cash at you like city boys in spearmint rhinos. plus you could end up making a healthy few bob which could be put towards some bust fund/dog race or whatever. :)

May i ask, why black and red flags and not black flags? It is an anarchist federation thing, formerly anarchist communist federation?

The AF uses the red and black, yes, but so do a lot of social/class struggle anarchists. IIRC, the CNT were the first to use it, in the late 19th/early 20th century.

also, if there were a load of folk in procesion along a road down the east end most folk would just think it was a funeral march for some 'colourful villain' of yesteryear :)
