I had to phone them and I didnt get the job which was no surprise they sent 4 people for interviews and we all flunked the excel test.

Maybe if they were offering more than 10 p/h they'd get people who were genuinely excel masters.

Time to pursue other avenues...keep your fingers crossed!

i screwed up an excel test, i'm usually fine at basic excel, but the test was on a laptop, and i've never used a laptop, i could have asked to use a pc, but didn't so it took me a lot longer to do the excel stuff on the laptop, and i had to rush the other written questions

Interviews are tough - these things can trip folk up. In my experience though, most people do better in tests than they imagine.
