Interesting vodka flavours...

vanilla? didn't know that, yeah might not go so well with lime, thanks for the warning. i thought the bison grass gave it a more medicinal quality, a little like jagermeister perhaps. or not

i'll get some apple based mixers in then, or maybe just some pepsi

Actually there is one cocktail recommended on their website that has lime and peppermint liquor in it, but that just sounds weird :D
They also recommend cucumber, which would be nice, or ginger. both with apple juice.

<snip> i'm feeling a novelty vodka sesh coming on. i'm leaning towards Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka, lime juice and tonic over ice. anyone tried it, or other suggestions?
Chill the vodka well (in the freezer if poss, then keep on ice) then serve the vodka on its own and drink the mixers between shots. BTW the lime juice and tonic sound good.

FWIW I've tried bison grass vodka, it was quite delicately flavoured. Nice if you want more flavour than you get from a plain really good vodka, but less sweet and sticky than the vodkas which have been infused with fruit etc. BTW happy belated birthday. :)

went for a mix of cloudy apple juice, fresh lime juice and soda water in the end. very nice

i don't really drink any more, mostly because beer and wine mess me up and leave me feeling awful, but this was a very pleasant drunk experience. :)

I've got some "spiced wild apple" infused vodka incubating at home now. Wondering how long to leave it for. Mine's only got cinnamon as the spice, but the girlfriend added star anise too - not sure how I feel about that.

I've tried some. It's still a bit harsh, wondering whether to add sugar (or toffee?) and turn it into a liquer, or whether to just give it a bit more time.

So I went a little booglehouse on flavored vodkas before Christmas (intending to give them out as presents); but I threw them in a dark cupboard and totally forgot about them! I did watermelon, cucumber-dill, blackberry-lime, some kind of crazy-ass serrano pepper-and-orange thing...

Can I still pull them out and drink them? I think I recall someone saying that fruit-infused vodkas should only be left for a week or two. Will I kill myself if I quaff this stuff? The alcohol should kill any potential nasties, right?

I KNOW THIS IS A STUPID QUESTION

Yes, no, yes.
