Oooh! I heard Primative Plus for the first time the other day..and hearted that an' all.

It's all about 'Beauty & The Beat' - blows 'Primitive Plus' straight out the water! Especially 'Rock and Roll' - it makes me

Beyond what peeps here have already suggested ...

Plastic Little 'She's Mature' (So far have only really listened to 'Crambodia' from this album and is possibly a little too playful for this thread but check it anyways)
Time Machine 'Slow Your Roll' (Heading into J5 terroritory, bit of a grower...)
Busdriver (plenty of peeps rate him but not overly fussed myself)
Radioinactive 'Soundtrack to a Book' (Canne be bothered to think of something to write! )

I wanted to like this, but just found it kinda... well, dull really.

Do You Understand? by Parallel is a much better Cali 5 MC, 2 DJ record (a la J5), imo. Although it's a bit harder, the quality of the beats, production and particularly the MCing was just that cut above.

Maybe I'll revist the Time Machine, though...



Also wanted to mention Opening Day by Major League, nice recent record.

I know what you mean, took me a few listens to get into it. Even now can't say it's what I reach for whenever some old skool stylee hip-hop needs hit me but I feel they've got potential to get better ...
