InDesign...help

when I opened pc file on mac it did come up missing fonts (but that's because we'd been given a specific font to work with)... don't know about the other way round because I can't open the files ;)

Head to Usenet jamm beeeeeeee!

.sit should work with .ttf - if you have the fonts, you can open it with out the missing fonts prompt.

the best place to ask for indesign thingies is usenet, news:adobe.indesign.macintosh / news:adobe.indesign.windows / news:alt.design.graphics is a really good group too, some very helpful people in there. Your NNTP server should be something like news.yourisp.domain - and I wouldn't read the groups with OE as you'll probably end up downloading something nasty! I use Gravity and have done for nearly 8 years :o

Edit to add: It is a bit odd that everything you download gives you an error, have you tried other progs? Download winamp or something and see if that works...

am I right in thinking the CS2 is on the college mac and you only have CS? because I know in illustrator you have to save in a certain way so that the file can be opened in an older version, this doesn't happen the other way around which is probably why you can open the file made in CS into CS2 gettit? I wouldn't know where to look for it though if infact this does exist on InDesign, it's just an idea, or isit fixed now?

There's a patch you can download, tp - cos I had the same problem when I was making calanders with fucking boats and sailors on

someone suggested it might be my firewall... will have to have a look at that tomorrow, can't cope with any more techy stuff tonight.

yep it's that way round, and same thing happens with InDesign.... someone did give me a link to a patch but it wouldn't download properly. Hopefully got the trial to work now and should have a full version up and running by tomorrow.

Though knowing me, I'll do summat wrong :o

*bump*

Does anyone know how I can view two pages next to each other, but without them being facing pages?

Scrolling up and down isn't an easy way to compare two different designs I've got.

Ta :)
