Incap ben. The farce continues?

i was waiting for that, disgusting, many disabled people have limited amounts of energy and have to use it wisely, if they worked, then they would literally be totally exhausted for the rest of the day.

They will do if they have a negative mollycoddled view on life imposed by the liberal establishment:confused::hmm::cool:

If your strong enough to throw a few punches then surely you should be able to do some elemental labouring or warehouse work.
I wouldn't waste a punch on you, sunshine. A walking stick to the back of the head's all you deserve.
The amount of time you spend on these boards must mean that you can do basic IT skills, or even just basic data processing.
How much time do I spend on the boards then, Mr. Genius?
C'mon, I'm dying for a laugh (although I suppose I could go and read that threatening PM you sent me a while back, that was as amusing as fuck).
By the sounds of it your a lazy doley:mad::rolleyes: scrounger.
That's right. I'm so fucking lazy that even though I've been physically disabled since my early 20s, I still carried on working (sometimes two jobs) until I was forced into medical retirement. :)
Come back when you've got something more solid than your assinine assumption, there's a good chap. :)
Personally your only hope is to go through some re-education process, even if it is just some boot-camp or something!:D
Been there, done that, still got the cap badge and tee-shirt.

I'm not exactly worried by the opinion of an incoherent ball-bag like "Nigel", mate. He so very obviously either hasn't got clue or is a cow-cunt-sized troll that he's only really worth smiling at and patting on the head in a VERY condescending manner. :)

What "liberal establishment" is that?

Lat time I looked, we've had a "neo-liberal establishment" for at least the last 25 years, and that's not the same thing as a "liberal establishment" at all, unless you're too daft to see the distinction.

People are on incapacity benefit for a year or so while waiting for therapy. So the government has to pay out for benefits *and* the therapy at the end of the day.

What they're trying to do is stop paying the benefits *and* not provide the therapy. How is that supposed to get people back into work?
Fair point. And that's the sort of thing that needs to be highlighted in this debate.

The best sought of therapy would be integration into wider society through work or other social activity.

This sought of socialisation would be better than isolated therapy on its own.

Have to agree. But employers attitudes need to change at times as well.

I really worry for the mentally ill in all this, I really do.

Well they could have put it like this "The Final Solution to the Mentally-ill question" - but these days, a little more subtlety is preferred.
*Note for mentally ill posters, please go easy on me, it's a joke and I'm one of you"

If you are right, then surely the solution is to give everybody enough to live on regardless of circumstances. That way nobody need live in fear.

Absolutely - the 'targeting' of benefits creates a trap whereby those who are not able to work full-time are effectively taxed on part-time work at a rate of over 90% (and have a load of extra hassle filling in forms to boot).
