Brilliant, thank you. Last panel...superb.
I was a big fan of Fergie's teams. I know he and they had their detractors, but they could be great fun to watch.
Less so now...
That last panel... grit in eye.
That's a harsh handball.
And a shit free kick to follow.
They can't 'alf dribble this Ajax lot.
But that's about it.
To be fair their tackling has been good.
A deserved win which even I won't begrudge. Wonder how much celebrating there will be at the final whistle.
Where was all the fireworks when they lifted the cup? Cheapskates.
I'm sorry, I might be getting old but if you're in a suit or on crutches, why are you on the podium?
'Zlatan, stay and you can shag my wife'.
Oh that was fucking MINT, Zlatan getting a picture of himself with, in the background, a banner reading "Zlatan, stay and you can shag my wife"
I'm in Amsterdam tonight. Apparently the correct response to losing in the final is letting off fireworks.
Cue TV director: "CUT! CUT!"
My memory of his first spell at Chelsea resulted in some serious investment, yes, but also a terrifically well balanced and attacking side. Robben, Duff, Drogba, Lampard etc
In this regard he set the standard for everyone else, Utd included.
Prior to that at Porto, his CL winning side had plenty of dash. At Real Madrid didn't he set the record for goals scored in a single season? When Chelsea won the league in his second spell at Chelsea the attacking brio (prior to Christmas) was as good as anything thrown up in the history of the Premier League.
And as any Utd fan will happily acknowledge Fergie's side were often extremely pragmatic too. The real frustration this year, unlike under lVG, is not the lack of creativity, but the abundance of chances squandered.
As he rightly remarked, had Hernandez not been sold in the job lot clear out by LVG, he would have been competing with Kane and co on second half substitute appearances alone.
Just saw John Terry played in Carrick's testimonial. Doesn't particularly worry me, but it seemed an odd choice given that Rio Ferdinand was playing for the United 08 11.
Mebbe it means Carrick thought Rio was a bit of a cunt?
Do you knopw if he asked Rio to play, ?
What of the Ronaldo thing then? Can't deny I'd like to see him do 3 more years at united, but just as big a bit of me thinks fuck off you preening tax dodging cunt. And all this speculation about £175m + De Gea seems like a way of pissing De Gea and getting him to go to Madrid anyway when the Ronaldo thing collapses. Anyway, don't know if Ronaldo is even vaguely serious about it happening? Certainly wasn't the last couple of times it came up.
Surely it's just a way of getting Real to pay Ronaldo's tax bill?
...but a few years of even a declining Ronaldo would massively improve us. So, yeah, I'd take him. Even at 100m.
So would PSG
Well, looks like a Ronaldo return would be a perfect fit:
