Well I meant the playing style and tempo of their tunes could be somewhat comparable, not the structures or melodies, the Fannies being infinitely superior there but I'm more than happy to retract the slur in the interests of rock.

one of my favourite bands. grand prix is so beautiful. someone asked me for some the last time i played at offline. yes!

YES! I love teenage fanclub. Ive not heard all their output but ive loved everything i have heard. the first album of theirs i listened to was man-made, and i was hooked from the first song..."its all in my mind, its all in my mind..."

i think my favorite song from that album was one of the slower ones tho. cant remembe the name but the lyrics go something like "so much that i wants to do...only with you". its just a lovely song. has a nice piano in it.

bandwagonesque is cracking album from start to finish as well.

wasnt as keen on songs from northern britain but its still a good album. maybe more the type of album that grows on you after a few listens.

i defo need to check out some more of their material. its just great songwriting, lovely melodies and harmonies, and well...they're just great!

I love TFC but even I can see they've been treading water ever since (and including Grand Prix) constantly re-hashing the same tired stuff. It's too slick and quiet.

But I can forgive them all of that for "everything flows", "god knows its true" and all of Bandwagonesque.
