In praise of gaffer tape

I use my gaffa tape to rig up my normal sounds speakers, to my computer speakers works a treat.

I dread to think how much gaffa/electrical tape I must get though in a busy week, the main warehouse at one of the companies I work for has a bay of industrial racking (2 pallets wide, 3 tiers high) dedicated to storing it...

The entire entertainment industry would litterally fall apart without it


Of course, experienced gaffa tape operators know all about the different types - "stickyness", various strengths/weaves etc

I've mostly progressed to cable ties - though sometimes a combination of the two is required.

At Glasto 2005 my mate decided to wear his knackered para boots for one last festival...given the mud this proved to be a unwise decision and on our way to the John Peel stage far far from the tent my mate's sole started flapping. Crikey he was slowing us down and making us giggle...though Joe Bananas saved the day when they let him borrow some gaffer tape for him tape up his sole...
