In praise of designer jeans

I need some new trainers but I cant decide what I want.

I do. I want some really, really rude Nikes - preferably something with a loud colour on them and something more like a skate/bike shoe than a running shoe.

Mmm! New stuff!

I always wear rude nikes :D

I like black trainers now though, they don't look do grubby so quickly :o

Have a look at Nike ID's they're fat

I refuse to believe that designer jeans will fit me any better than non designer - people come in all shapes and sizes after all.

Anyway, on the subject of jeans, I got two pairs today, both size 18 and 29" inside leg - but one pair are the perfect length and miles too big on the waist, the others are a good fit on the waist but so long they go under my shoes and drag on the ground.

Mind you they were only £16 for the two, so I might make do with them anyway.

well you can, it's just that denim obsessives/freaks reckon with jeans made from raw denim (unwashed denim, still stiff from all the starch applied to the fabric to ease with cutting it) that it's best to give them a really good wearing in before washing them at all, so that the soften up and and get comfy in all the right places. lots of people suggest 6 months. people spend lots of time talking about it on fashion forums, don't you know.

blimey. this is my last post, i think.

You can't wash them? For three months???
Dirty bastards.

I have a pair of Edwins which I've had for about 5 years and they've NEVER been washed. Admittedly I've not worn them in the last 3 years or so but still.

I've just gifted them to my bloke so he can decide whether or not to wash them now.

Bah! I think both my new jeans are too big. If you can get them up and down without undoing them, that means they are too big, doesn't it?

Yeah, I tend to avoid washing new jeans for a while. Although one pair of Replays I must have worn (in total) for 2 years, with a wash every three days of wear, and they're still good as new.

Depends on the denim.. you won't notice much of a difference withHigh St. But boutique/designer ones can be affected. Like Milesy says, all about raw denim.

I wanted to treat myself to designer jeans once. So I went to a few designer shops. After trying and failing many times to get a pair of jeans on that actually fit as they should I was informed that they don't tend to make jeans 'in my shape'. So I'm afraid designer jeans are horrible mean things IMO.

I wouldn't praise them only I am a tall bugger and Primark's more expensive jeans (£8 - £12) don't fit me. I've tried on designer jeans and the material and fit is in a different class.

I'm waiting for a pair of Levi's I ordered from Germany, but the bastards haven't turned up in 5 weeks. I've been wearing a pair of £4 Primark jeans for so long I feel like wrapping them round my neck and hanging myself.

The best thing about designer jeans is they save you the headache of shopping around for ages. I've been looking for a pair for about 2 months, been to loads of stores, and tried on over 25 pairs - nearly all a waste of time.

I remember this - isn't it because you have booty? Levis do a cut called Eve that they made specially for the African market to enhance the curvy behind - maybe see if they do that in the UK??? I only have this odd piece of information because of a magazine I read a couple of weeks ago - I'm not obsessed with denim or bottoms :)

w00t!

I got me some new rude trainers - a pair from Nike's 6.0 range - the bike range I think....they are mostly grey with black and a green swoosh and sole...and pink laces

Picture to follow as soon as I can find one/get one uploaded on my phone as you blantantly can't wait to see them ;)
