in praise of daytime television

It's crap! We only got digital last week and there's still nowt to watch (never mind just daytimes)

Also, digital is shit - why didn't someone tell us that it fucks up all the time - is it the heat??

It's not always crap. Sometimes Quincy or House is on, but I can't find either. Their repeat runs must have finished :D

I'm getting quite into the Hallmark 9am drama.

I watched one with Dick and Barry Van Dyke (that wasn't Diagnosis Murder - which was really off-putting) yesterday, and today's was absolutely excellent (not with the Van Dykes). It was about a girl who had schizophrenia who was convinced someone had been murdered but she was having lots of psychotic episodes and no one believed her. Turned out her uncle was switching her meds and planting stuff around her house to make it seem like she was mad because he'd killed the guy because he had a gambling problem and the guy's wife promised to bankroll him if he killed her husband.

It was really good.

I like those antique auction shows. And sometimes they show the old Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes stories in the afternoon on one of the ITVs.

it would be if phildwyer was anywhere near as good value as he used to be. he's a pitiful shadow of his former self - a martin clunes to leonard rossiter.

To be fair, he has new responsibilities that are probably weighing heavily upon him and/or keeping him awake at night.
