Ah right, then at least you'll be spared the indignity which I suffered from being on an in-school connection for the first year or so I was there, which was where some imbecile in the school computer room was switching off the server every night, despite my repeated demands for them to desist doing this. So you get home, have dinner, and have 20 minutes to do all web-related stuff before the sodding connection gets shut down

I think you're being overly critical. They HAVE to save electricity you see. It costs money! Money that could be used to take the local offical out to dinner or KTV so he would 'forget' about what your boss was/is doing illegally.

Look at how demanding foreign teachers can be on their bosses "nag, nag, nag... I want internet after 9pm, I want a fridge that's cold, I want light in my apartment, I want a toilet... nag, nag, nag"

i've got a few things on the download. already on demonoid

UK TV stuff seems pretty slow but i'm guessing that's cos it's not so well known abroad

tbh my problem has always been finding stuff i can be arsed to watch....

Use uknova. They always have free signups now that most people in the Uk can access iplayer. And they have very good download speeds too, and while they require a ratio is maintained, people are very very rarely banned for a poor ratio.

Really, cos I didn't use it for ages, came back to find my username had been deleted, so signed up, and as it was post-iplayer i got straight back on, then that name got deleted too, and the other day i got straight back on again.

Keep trying...

Only thing with UKNOva is that they only have recent releases (the reason they withstood the power of the Beeb for so long is that they stuck to the Beeb's own official rules (like length of time the torrent could be hosted, and so on, going by UK rules on copyright and reproducing a TV programme, it's completely legitimate as long as it's done within 30 days and not sold.
