Imperial Gardens Camberwell

yes it is stupid but plenty of precedent for it
happened in Cardiff with a great venue in an old church - The Point
also with Jamie Oliver's 15 place iirc
only takes one or two complaints
and there is also worry/threat that a backpackers in Cardiff going in a certain st with bars and clubs and the Welsh club, Clwb Ifor Bach that has been there a long long time being affected
stupid stupid stupid

Bryan Adams bought a flat above or near a pub in Chelsea and had it shut down, even though he barely ever stayed there.
The Trinity Arms had to bring in a garden curfew because some luxury flats were developed nearby.

one is in brixton and one is in camberwell!
medussa had one ok room and a shitty sweat box upstairs and the gardens had a much bigger room iirc
oh and some plants/fake plants on the way in

They are both shitholes under a railway in South London that I went to off me tits years and years ago.

Hardly worth a facepalm, was it mate!

:D funny, similar to my experience!
although did a night in Medussa once so i wasn't so hammered when we were setting up and remembered it for a change

Gah, well like everyone else it seems, I wasn't in the best remembering frame of mind when I visited the place!

I went to a few parties there but the one I 'remember' is an Analogue City/Digital Nation party with Dave Clarke and Luke Slater which was awesome. I remember a high up DJ booth and Weatherall doing a slow tempo yet heavy Sabres-style set in the room with the plants.
