listening to I'm Not In Love right now ( ) still sounds great

but can somebody please pass me the mind eraser for getting rid of the flashbacks to their Life Is A Ministrone?

10CC's 'Im not in love' the song, goes against every principle i have in terms of lameness, smoothness, but i absolutely LOVE this song. I really hold my hands down and have no defences here, on this song, because its simply a brilliant song.

This song once contributed to a very bad mushroom experience. I didn't like it before but since then, I've hated it beyond anything I can put into words.

The only 10cc song I ever really liked was Life Is A Minestrone which I remember them performing on TOTP - I'm Not In Love always bored the shit out of me.

its a shit song, seem to remember the pretenders doing a better version though.

Actually i've just listened to it, its fairly shit as well.

there are some things in life that transcend tastes, genres, politics and even dreams, and 'Im not in love' is one of them.

i think 10CC, Paul Young, pretty much EVERYONES version is brilliant, because it is just a good song.

oh dear :(

i like it - i don't think it's cheesy or suave, though. I think it's blokes tacitly presenting themselves as being a bit crap and full of bravado.

brilliantly catchy melody, of course.

plus, it has that quality of ease: that everyone can sing along to it. I'm beginning to thing that singalongability is an utterly under-appreciated quality in a song. I can't imagine liking music I couldn't sing to.:o

60-80's kind of blurs together in my head when it comes to music. And clothes.

I suppose I should have said 'Imma do a dadrock compilation'

I know what you mean. When I hear Freddie and the Dreamers or Frankie Goes To Hollywood they sound exactly the same. Liverpool bands, eh?:p
