You decide!

Welcome to the 'hood, SZC. I really like Herne Hill, especially the Blackbird bakery and the flower shop (on Dulwich Rd). The cobbler next to the station is really good too. :)

Thanks Ms T :)

Ooh cobbler - good, my boots are starting to fall apart and need to be repaired.

I've heard about this Blackbird bakery, looking forward to trying it out!

I is moving at the beginning of Feb into MGO's old room, the place is lovely, the location is great, housemates seem nice and I am teh looking forward to it.

Just wanted to share that with you lot :)
I'm sure I crashed there once when I was very drunk and lost. I'm also sure it was very nice. :D

well, i've spent more awake time at that flat for the last nine months than i have my own flat.

It is lovely, it is spacious. The remaining residents are the most delightful couple of girlies ever - and one of them has a boyf who is a truly charming, resourceful and obliging chap - mended my car door twice and it took him bloody ages. It does have the smallest shower in the whole world, but it is a good shower.

It's so handy for the shops you will get lazy. :o

Honestly - fab location - you wait til summer and the picninics.

And SZC, well done for seeing the potential beneath the chronic untidiness of my boyfriend's bedroom.;)

ah so you live in Herne Hill now!! :D

oh SZC, forgot to mention: Crad is very very religious, so please don't blaspheme in front of him. Cos otherwise he'll be waking you up every Sunday morning at 7am expecting you to attend Sunday 'worship'.

Depends on how I'm feeling on any particular day! We're exactly half-way between Brixton and Herne Hill (and officially in SE24).

I like having a foot in both camps. :D

:D :D :D I have this image of your right foot shod in Jimmy Choos on the Herne Hill side and your left foot in a pair of trainers on the Brixton side...

Mrs M got most upset when I said you lived in Herne Hill (I was going by your postcode and also my perception of that particular little - rather lovely - area iykwim) - but having a foot in both camps is much better - best of both worlds! I think you live in fab location tbh..

I think we're on the wrong side of the tracks (aka Railton Rd) to be in Poet's Corner. :p

(I didn't mention "poet's corner as I didn't want to be too specific about where you live)

Yes but a bit of your house is actually on a poet!!

I wouldn't be ashamed of having a house in poets corner (not suggesting anyone else is!) - I love those roads - that would be my dream!! We viewed loads of them when gaijinboy's parents were moving house - such interesting roads and beautiful houses. Apparently architects used the plots there to build example houses of their work to show to investors - which is why there are so many different, yet impressive architectural styles in such a small group of roads.
