I'm gonna be in london for a week 22-29th july, anyone wanna meet up?

Yeah, but, there will be *gasp* non-urban types at your PQ. What if we get all mixed up and meet people from real life :(

Anyway, we can have North London Drinks Mk: II, the cake episode AND the PQ!

I shall make brownies AND my rude sweet potato cake.

the urbs meet non-urb people and beat them in quizzes:cool:

Sounds good marty, nice one. Pootle's kinda doing the organising now :D but if you suggest that as a good pub to go to in the area then why not? Whaddya reckon poot's?

Nah! Marty is teh rubbish at picking pubs! ;)

I feel a new thread coming on...

Err, I'll let you two fight this one out :D

As long as it's not miles from where I'm staying that night I'm easy.

edit: you three!

I've only been in there once, but I liked it - this review sums it up well

Its all a little rough around the edges, but if you add the friendliest service in E5, a lively pub quiz, a great choice of tunes and barbecues in the back garden, this becomes a proper, solid local.

And it's v close to 3 train stations for people to get there, and v close to a main road for buses etc.

:)

There's a really amazing Offline night on the 24th with the fabulous John Hegley supported by Jessica Delfino, an outrageous NYC comedian who's over in the UK doing a five day headline show at the Soho Theatre. It's in Brixton and it's FREE!

I'll be up for a N London pub meet too!

Oh cool, I'll get to meet you without a) having to go to Brixton then b) tugging on your sleeve while you're djing to say 'Hello!'

It's not the one next to the garage on Lower Clapton Rd is it? Opposite Biddle Bros? Is that a good pub?

I think that's the Windsor Castle, only been there once, bit of an old bloke pub (which I'm not yet ready for, all the time anyways) this one is down lower clapton road from there, through the roundabout and past the rail station, then on the road to the left (you would have to get off the 253 by the station and walk)

Just thought: I can get the 106 to the door!

But how on earth is Clapton station down Lower Clapton Road from the Windsor when it is:

1. moving towards Upper Clapton Road
2. Topographically down the hill
3. Geographically to the south?

You've mashed my swede :(

I'd love to meet you at some point. You could even come along to one of my spinning classes!:p

Whereabouts you at Stobes? I'd like to meet you as well. Funny you should mention cycling, I got back on a push bike today for the first time since having me hip done 2 weeks ago. A spinning class may not be out of the question by then....:D

The title says it all really, I always seem to have good experiences meeting new urban peeps so if you fancy a quick get together sometime between the 22nd-29th july PM me :)

This may well be a possibility. Still sorting stuff out but I was thinking about the end of July as a possible time to visit London.

Would be good to visit dude, although I do fear we could sort of lead each other astray. :D
