Owen's dive was nowhere near as bad as the Italy one though. Owen was clearly impeded. Whereas the Italy guy was like a foot away from the aussie and then tripped over him. Pathetic.
 
I'm not happy about this whole frankfurters and sauerkraut business!

Frankfurters should be accompanied by potato salad, sauerkraut quite clearly goes with Bratwurst (fried sausage)!!! (Raeuber Hotzenplotz' and my childhood's favourite meal). And don't even think about frying the frankfurters:eek: they should just be heated gently.
 
Bratwurst & here in Switzerland, Ceverlat, should be grilled on a BBQ type contraption with 3 slits cut in them and served with a large chunk of crusty bread and a dollop on Senf on the side.

Will - you go to the game, you talk about this, you talk about that.. same with the Germany/Argentina thread.. we haven't even started on the fine Argentinian steak.. Best steak I ever ate!!

I'm not exactly rooting for the Argies, but individual (evil) genius of Maradona aside, that 1986 side were not as good all round as today's, IMO.

I reckon the Argnetinians will win and if they do, it'll be with some sublime football I think, which can only be admired.

But Germany will give em a game, it's going to be great .....what I see of it grrrrr ...

Argentina 3, Germany 2. Possibly after extra time.

Hollis : you haven't mentioned German beer yet ... ;)

Misunderstanding of what I meant. Sorry if I was unclear ....

Like a few other office monkeys, I'm unavoidably going to miss the first half, I just wanted to request that people didn't start any NEW thread (eg after a spectacular goal etc.) with a spoiler title.

Title of this thread gives nothing away though ... I fully predict it'll extend to 8 or 9 pages by this evening, which is :cool:

Plenty of room for discussion there ... :) And for new threads later on after the match, if wanted ... :)
 
I want Germany to win. And then I want us to face them in the final and beat them, in front of all their mates :D
