Just to say I live on said marsh. I have to disagree with comments here - the flattened areas are fucking huge and the grass all died as a result of the trampling. I was away at the time and didn't know that the rave had been held there. When I came home I cycled accross the marsh to the supermarket and thought WTF? I was pretty shocked. It's a nature reserve with some endangered protected species there (£5000 fine for disturbing them if you get caught), because of this and the tall marsh plants they ask you to stick to the paths. It is a beautiful wild stretch of marsh but where the party was it looks fucked. Yes it will recover by next year but I think the crews could've taken care to go somewhere less wild (I'm thinking of some of the places ocb use for instance). They broke the gates to get in. The rave was 3 weeks ago and you can still tell exactly where it was because of the damage caused. Clearing up a few cans? Well done! Deciding to hold a rave on this nature reserve and then trampling and killing wild marsh vegetation is not good. If I get a chance I'll post pics so you can see what I mean.
